haha... well i too think the book idea isn't all that sound, but monks would need a sort of spellbook, probably better suited in the backpack though

and megan, isn't a monk wearing gloves that add extra damage the same as a warrior weilding a weapon? the warrior that uses a weapon would have a great advantage over the one that doesn't. just the same as if a monk was wearing gloves or not...

He means, that a monk who wears gloves would be like a warrior wielding a weapon, and a monk without gloves, would be like a warrior without a weapon.

Okay.... I still don't understand why he said that lol. The post I said before involvered layering as a suggestion, so gloves with damage would be another layer so the monk could wear gloves and a weapon like any other character.
